Caralan Printers is a small family firm combining a high level of technical expertise with top quality equipment and low operating costs. We do not employ salesmen but deal direct with our customers anywhere in the UK and Eire mainly via the internet. Because of the way we are organised, the quality of our staff and equipment coupled with tight control of overheads, we know we can deliver exceptional value print and related services anywhere in the British Isles. Most of our work comes via recommendation and many of our customers have been with us since our business was founded in 1984.

Our Products
We mostly print short run full colour work with an emphasis on leaflets, stationery and colour cards.

Our Philosophy
We use various "old fashioned" business methods to keep our costs down. This enables us to still make a profit whilst charging less for our product. We do not rent or lease anything, all our equipment and our printworks are owned by us. We don't spend money on image projection or needless non-production staff - our efforts are concentrated IN production. This is because we understand that Quality, Delivery and Price are the essential pre-requisites to forming long term business relationships. For us, successful business relationships are built on co-operation over a long period. This is how we make our living.

Our Customers
We were originally founded as a trade printer. That is, we print for other printers. Although our customer base has evolved over the years as business conditions have changed, we still primarily supply our products to resellers throughout the UK.

Our People
Basically we are nice people. We are good mannered and friendly and will always go out of our way to help other nice people if we can. We will never twist you, overcharge you or knowingly take advantage in any way. We are honest, fair and reasonable. This is why both our staff and customers tend to stay with us long term. Our longest serving member of staff has been with us for over twenty years, as have some of our customers.
Having told you all this maybe you are thinking "Does anyone care?". Well yes, we think they do. Who wants to be reduced to being merely a part of some corporate revenue stream?

Where we are - Goole, The Port in Green Fields
We are based in the small town of Goole in Yorkshire. This is the U.K.'s largest inland port with shipping links around the world and excellent motorway communications to virtually anywhere in the country. Goole is built on transport, warehousing, shipping and container freight but you only have to walk about a mile in any direction and you are in what is probably the most fertile agricultural land in the country. To see this land in springtime is an education in fertility. It is also very flat which is why it is covered in old disused airbases - most of which are now either glider clubs or industrial estates. Underneath us is probably the richest deep mine coalfield in the world and as a consequence we are surrounded by huge power stations built alongside our rivers.
