Use the file below to verify that our system is working: - If you uploaded a proof but did not receive your emailed links or any error messages it may be that our system is temporarily offline. You can check this by downloading the small postscript testfile below and running it through our proof system. This file is very simple and will always process successfully returning a small message. It should only take a couple of minutes and if it works you know our system is up and running
The testfile works but I still can't proof my
job: - This is very likely to be a problem with your file or with your
internet connection. If there was a problem with your upload our system should
have informed you immediately
Internet Connections: - Some service
providers will cut you off if they think your connection is inactive for more
than a few minutes. Some ISPs interpret prolonged periods of file transfer as
inactivity. If you are with such an ISP then you can prevent them from
disconnecting you by using programs such as "StayConnected" which is freeware
and prevents this from happening by randomly connecting to various websites at
short intervals. This fools the ISP into thinking you're actively surfing and
so they don't disconnect you.
If you have a broadband router there is usually an option
to make your connection "Always On" or similar which will keep your connection alive.
Problems with your file:-
The whole point of the proofing exercise is to locate and correct errors in
your file. This doesn't just mean visual and editorial type errors but also any
errors that prevent your file from actually working and producing the output
you expect. There is little point in spending hours producing a first class
artwork job that looks really good on screen but cannot be printed. Go to the
submenu bar on our proofing page and look at 'My proof failed' or 'Interpret
your proof' for further help.
