Caralan and Resellers
Caralan Printers was founded in 1984 as a mainly "Trade" printer, that is we have always printed for other printers.
This has long been common practice in the printing industry and with our extensive experience in this area we are
well suited to offering an excellent trade service to resellers.
Although much of the trade printing work we undertake is unsuitable for inclusion on our e-commerce website we believe
the batch printed products you will find in our online pricelists are highly suitable for re-sale situations straight
from the web.
Confidentiality
We see our printing all over the country and end users are rarely aware that we actually printed it. None of our
packaging material identifies us as the printer. In fact we will happily despatch directly to your customer under
plain cover using your delivery dockets and documentation - at no extra charge. We NEVER approach a reseller's customers and if we are contacted directly by
the end user we refuse to deal with them without first contacting the reseller for instructions.
What do we offer resellers?
Discounts on our published prices and a high level of personal technical support that we could not possibly give to
miriads of end users.
We offer a 10% reduction across the board and a further 5% if your artwork is supplied as final pdf. You do not need to pay us
an abitrary sum in advance (unlike some of our competitors) to gain this discount - it will be automatically deducted
when you order as a reseller using our automated online ordering system (not order upload -
see
How to Order ).
All we require is that you are a genuine reseller and not an end user trying to gain an extra discount.
What do Caralan gain from this
As you have probably guessed, we don't go around discounting our already keen prices for no reason. We benefit from
this arrangement in that we can load our presses more efficiently with much less administrative overhead. Dealing
with print customers can be a fairly involved procedure that only becomes "like clockwork" when we have dealt with someone
a few times and established a relationship. You start to appreciate what we need from you and we quickly learn how you work and what to
watch for with your jobs. Once this rapport is established your jobs can be processed efficiently and our presses loaded with
minimum fuss. Also, most print users don't like buying over the internet from someone they don't know. They much
prefer to deal with someone face-to-face. We gain indirect access to your face-to-face customer contact and you gain
access to very favourable pricing that is exclusive to our resellers AND you get to run your jobs on our very expensive
equipment drawing on our twenty plus years of expertise.
