WinZip  - Industry standard compression and archiving tool for working with ".zip" files.

Stuffit  - Industry standard Macintosh compression and archiving tool. Work with ".sit", ".hqx" and ".bin" (macbinary) files.

Adobe Homepage  - Free Acrobat Reader. Updates, patches, ppd files and support for Adobe programs and postscript.

Internet/Security/Privacy
Because of the current state of the internet we have decided to include a section on internet security.
A friend and customer of ours recently connected to the internet with his usual security provisions disabled. His computer was online for only 5 hours in this condition but managed to collect 15 different viruses and 21 trojans - the combination of which rendered his system unusable!
If you've never considered security a priority (let's face it, we've all got better things to do) and you venture onto the internet with a Windows pc you WILL fall foul of the bad people eventually.

Gibson Research  - Test your firewall online with the excellent "Shields-Up". Also various other free security utilities and advice.

hackerwatch.org  - More security stuff.

Zone Alarm firewall.  - Very good and inexpensive firewall. Also a free version for non-commercial use.

Mozilla Firefox Browser  - Dump MS Internet Explorer and get yourself a secure browser for free. 65 million users including companies like IBM

Spybot Search and Destroy  - Removes nasties and stops them returning.

Ad-Aware  - Famous spyware scanner and security tool.
